We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Newark and Sherwood Community and Sports Awards 2025 will be taking place later this year in partnership with Radio Newark. Our district is home to incredible individuals who go above and beyond to support our community and champion the growth of sports. Join us in recognising and celebrating their outstanding contributions and achievements.
The Newark and Sherwood Community and Sports Awards celebrates the extraordinary achievements, hard work and dedication of people and teams who go out of their way to help their neighbours, colleagues and communities and make Newark and Sherwood a special place to live and work.
The award ceremony will take place on Friday 26 September at The Renaissance at Kelham Hall in Newark. Welcoming more than 300 attendees from across the district, guests will enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, a two-course gala dinner, party and of course the awards themselves.
Nominations for this year’s awards are open from Friday 30 May until Monday 30 June, with 13 different categories to recognise the work of our unsung community heroes.
Do you know someone that deserves recognition? Someone who gives their time to others, works tirelessly, has achieved something huge or is an unsung hero? Nominate them now using the form below and give them the recognition they deserve but never ask for. This submission form will be used in the judging process and needs to include as much detail as possible. We’re looking for you to explain why the person you’re nominating stands out from others and is a worthy winner.
If your nomination is lucky enough to be chosen as a winner by the panel, we’ll be in touch and invite them to the awards ceremony. Tickets will also go on sale after the award winners have been contacted. All data submitted as part of this form will be held and managed in line with UK Data Privacy legislation and the Council Privacy Statements available on our website.
